Ananda matha Ashram is a monastery of Cistercian Nuns (OCSO) situated near kalpetta town in the District of Wayanad in Kerala . A monastery is a place where sisters live together. They are called nuns . We lead a monastic life characterized by the search for God while praying,sharing a fraternal life ,providing manual work, attending church offices seven time a day and welcoming people . Our liturgy of prayer is open to everybody .We have a small guesthouse for individual retreat . Our community lived in Makkiyad from 1988 and moved to Kunnambetta, in the same district, on Christmas 2009.
